About Jeff and Tricia Wimpy
It All Started In 2004
At the beginning of 2004 my wife and I decided to relocate from Denver back to Dallas. Now, what on earth would cause us to leave beautiful Colorado? There's only one thing: family. Almost all of them live nearby.
We lived here before, though, in fact my wife and I met in Plano in 1994 and got married in McKinney in 1995. Tricia is a native, who also lived abroad, and I have been in the greater Dallas area approaching 12 years.
It's a Family Thing
My father-in-law, Ron Gunder, is retired from the oil and gas business and has been doing quite well selling homes as a second career. My mother, Betty Wimpy, has also been a real estate agent for nearly 10 years. Together the three of us, along with Pat Gunder and my wife Tricia, formed the Gunder Group and strategically positioned ourselves in the city of Frisco. We can honestly say we really enjoy our lives here. We have watch Frisco explode in just a few short years and it's been a blast to be a part of it all.
We have a wonderful family and we all work well together. Ron has been a great business mentor and I owe a great deal of my understanding of real estate to him. Working as a family has actually worked out well for our clients. There have been many times where one of us has been able to help another show homes, procure contracts, make arrangements, and ensure the process goes smoothly.
Independent Agency
We worked for a national brand real estate agency for many years. We really enjoyed the company and have tremendous respect for the organization. However, it is costly to be self-employed. So we decided to informally survey many of our clients. We simply asked them, "When you bought your home, how important was it to you that we worked for a national brand?". The response was quite lopsided. No one seemed to care! The most important element to our clients is our relationship and market knowledge. Consequently, we teamed up with a family friend (and 20+ year real estate veteran), Gardine Froman, who previously established E Team Realty. We haven't looked back.
We're Not Pushy!
While you are here, our goal is to provide you with enough information that you feel comfortable contacting us to buy your next home. Like most people I hate pushy sales people! I am not one. I refuse to be one. Your respect means too much to me. In fact, we have staked our livelihoods on it. The way we see it, by serving you well, you won't hesitate to recommend us to your friends. Your recommendation is how we stay in business.
