B.F. Phillips Community Park Dedication

Players in Frisco's youth baseball and softball organization will have the
opportunity to play on five new fields this season, with the opening and
official dedication of B.F. Phillips Community Park. The public is invited
to attend the Park Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m.

B.F. Phillips Park is a 117 acre community park located at 3335 4th Army
Memorial Drive adjacent to the Lonestar Ranch subdivision. With an
overall ranch and horse racing theme, this park includes a five field
baseball and softball complex, soccer fields, a playground system,
concession and restroom facilities and a paved parking lot. As part of
the City's Public Art Program, the turnaround entrance features an
oversized horse shoe and nail entitled "For Want of a Horseshoe Nail".

Construction of Phase II of this community park will take place later this
year with additional phases following over the next five years. Phase II
of the park will include, additional playground equipment and concessions
built near the soccer fields, as well as, additional parking.
