COUNCIL APPROVES RATE INCREASES FOR WATER, SEWER AND TRASH SERVICES
(January 19, 2010) The Frisco City Council has approved rate increases for
water, sewer and trash services. Fees for ambulance service, fire permits,
HAZMAT ‘cleanup’ and returned checks will also increase beginning February
1. A table of the rate increases is available to view under the "In the
News" section of the home page of http://FriscoTexas.gov
On Tuesday, January 19, the Frisco City Council voted unanimously to
approve the rate increases as recommended by the Budge and Audit
Committee.
All residential water customers will pay $3 dollars more per month for the
basic service and seven cents ($0.07) more for every thousand gallons used
after consuming 2000 gallons.
The base rate for residential sewer customers is also increasing by $3
dollars more per month and a nickel more for every thousand gallons used
after 2000 gallons. Residents will pay a flat, $1 dollar more per month
for trash services. The commercial rate increases vary for water, sewer
and sanitation services.
The base fee for ambulance services will stay the same for residents, but
increase for people living outside city limits; however, mileage fees
associated with ambulance service will increase $3 per mile for both
residents and visitors.
