Council To Appoint Residents To Serve On Charter Review Commission; May 14 Deadline

COUNCIL TO APPOINT RESIDENTS TO SERVE ON CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSSION;MAY 14
DEADLINE
(May 7, 2009) The Frisco City Council calling on residents to serve on a
ten member
Charter Review Commission (CRC). Frisco's first city charter was adopted
in 1987 and revised in 2002.
The Council plans to appoint people to the commission at its regularly
scheduled City Council meeting on May 19. The anticipated start date for
the CRC is June. Commission members will be required to meet at least
twice each month until November, when it's anticipated the commission's
review will be complete.
Citizens appointed to the Charter Review Commission will review government
operations under the charter and determine if changes are necessary;
propose ways to insure Frisco complies with its charter; and report
findings and recommendations to the Frisco City Council.
