If you are a serious researcher, or just curious about your family tree,
you will not want to miss a free event planned at City Hall tonight.
Renowned genealogy expert Lloyd Bockstruck will be presenting a seminar
tonight on genealogy in the Council Chambers on the first floor of the
George A. Purefoy Municipal Center, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd., September 4
from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Bockstruck
is world-renowned in his field and has been called "one of the leading
genealogy experts of our time." You may recognize him as the author of
the Dallas Morning News genealogy column. He has worked as a teacher and
librarian in the US and Kenya. Currently he supervises the genealogy
section of J. Erik Jonsson Central Library in Dallas. The author of
several books, Bockstruck's special areas of interest are Southside
Virginia, colonial America, and Germany.
Frisco Public Library Adult Services is excited about hosting Mr.
Bockstruck. As evidenced by his credentials, he enjoys sharing his
