FRISCO PUBLIC LIBRARY TO EXTEND HOURS BEGINNING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4

(January 18, 2008) Very soon Frisco citizens will have more opportunity to
enjoy all that the Frisco Public Library has to offer. The Frisco Public
Library, located inside the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center at 6101
Frisco Square Blvd., is extending its hours beginning Monday, February 4.
The expanded hours will allow library staff to better serve the growing
number of patrons. The library has an estimated 7,600 visits per week.
The Frisco Public Library will stay open two hours later Monday through
Thursday, one hour later Friday and Saturday, and for the first time, open
on Sundays. The new hours of operation are listed below:

Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

In 2008 the Frisco Public Library is also inspiring intellect, curiosity
and imagination by adding more programs to better serve all members of the
community. One of those activities is an expansion of the popular
Storytime program. A new Family Storytime will enchant children and adults
alike the first Saturday of each month.
Bi-monthly computer classes will return for the adults. For those
looking to reduce the stress of tax season, the library is teaming up with
AARP to offer several programs on tax preparation. Look for these classes
from February to April. Patrons will also notice a continually expanding
collection of books, movies and music in 2008.
Even when the doors are closed, the library is always open online.
Knowledge is at your fingertips 24 hours-a-day at http://www.friscolibrary.com.
Countless databases and resources are available to research. Plus, you
can browse the library's shelves online. When you find the book you want,
put it on hold and then pick it up at your convenience. You can also read
from the comfort of your own computer by downloading titles from the wide
selection of EBooks or EAudiobooks.
