Traffic Advisory for May 3 Kenny Chesney Concert

(May 1, 2008) Main Street -- between Legacy Drive and Frisco Street --
will be closed to through traffic in order to move traffic out of Pizza
Hut Park following the Kenny Chesney/Brooks & Dunn/Le Ann Rimes concert on
Saturday, May 3.

Special traffic control measures will be in place to handle the heavy
traffic loads. Leading up to the concert, various turn lanes will be
closed on Main Street between the Dallas North Tollway and Frisco Street,
but through traffic on Main Street will still be possible. After the
concert, Main Street will be closed to through traffic after 10 p.m. and
should be open again by around 1 a.m.

During this closure, traffic heading east on Main Street should use Legacy
Drive to reach either Eldorado Parkway or Lebanon Road to continue
eastward. Through traffic heading west on Main Street should use North
County Road to reach Eldorado Parkway or use 5th Street to reach Lebanon
Road to continue westward. (Local traffic will still be possible on
westbound Main Street until you reach Frisco Street.) During this time,
Frisco Square can be reached by using northbound Dallas Parkway or by
turning left from southbound Dallas Parkway at Main Street or at Cotton
Gin Road.

Depending on where they park, concert goers will be directed onto Main
Street or north to Eldorado Parkway when they leave Pizza Hut Park and
then should follow the signs to reach the Dallas North Tollway, Preston
Road, SH 121 or US 380. To ease congestion after the concert on the
southbound Dallas Parkway for those entering the Tollway south of Main
Street, a sign has been installed to remind motorists that they can use
the right lane to continue to the next Tollway entrance ramp at Stonebrook
Parkway.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the area.
