FRISCO: Preston Road closed between Rockhill Road and Prosper Trail Saturday night, February 4

PRESTON ROAD CLOSED BETWEEN ROCKHILL ROAD AND PROSPER TRAIL SATURDAY
NIGHT, FEBRUARY 4
(February 3, 2012) As part of TxDOT’s widening project, Preston Road will
be closed between Rockhill Road in Frisco and Prosper Trail in Prosper on
Saturday night, February 4. In addition, US 380 will be detoured around
the Preston Road bridge, causing delays. The road closures start at 8
p.m. Saturday night and will reopen by 9 a.m. Sunday morning, February 5.
The specific closures and detours are described below.
Northbound Preston Road will be closed at Rockhill Road in Frisco. During
this closure, northbound traffic will be detoured east on Rockhill Road,
north on Coit Road, and then west on US 380 to return to Preston Road.
Detour signs will be posted.
Southbound Preston Road will be closed at Prosper Trail in Prosper. Only
local Prosper traffic will be allowed south of Prosper Trail, but through
traffic will be detoured west on Prosper Trail, south on Dallas Parkway,
and then east on US 380 to return to Preston Road. Detour signs will be
posted.
All traffic on westbound US 380 will have to turn right at the northbound
Preston Road frontage road and then make a u-turn onto the southbound
Preston Road frontage road to return to US 380. Detour signs will be
posted. Motorists wanting to go north on Preston Road will be able to
continue north on Preston Road without making the u-turn.
All traffic on eastbound US 380 will have to turn right at the southbound
Preston Road frontage road and then make a u-turn onto the northbound
Preston Road frontage road to return to US 380. Detour signs will be
posted. Motorists wanting to go south on Preston Road will be able to
continue south on Preston Road without making the u-turn.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone.
