NEXT TOWN HALL MEETING HAPPENING MONDAY, AUGUST 30:
AGENDA TOPICS INCLUDE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, FRISCO DISCOVERY CENTER & FY
2011 BUDGET
(August 27, 2010) Frisco residents are invited to come out for a Town Hall
Meeting Monday night, August 30 to get updated on the latest developments
in city departments, projects and programs.
The meeting will be held in the city hall council chambers of the George
A. Purefoy Municipal Center, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. The meeting begins
at 7 p.m. and wraps up at 9 p.m. Residents who attend the Town Hall
meeting will receive a free, Frisco green grocery tote and a ‘Growing up
Green’ T-shirt promoting the city website: FriscoGreenLiving.com. Speaking
of ‘green living’, learn more about the services offered at the city’s
Environmental Collection Center and what’s in the works for the city’s
developing Stormwater program.
Find out about the fun in store this fall and holiday season with a look
at upcoming special events, details about the Frisco Discovery Center
opening in October, and plans for the NCAA Division I Football
Championship game coming to Pizza Hut Park in January.
As the economy continues to challenge all of us, find out more about the
city’s proposed budget for FY 2011. Get updated on major road construction
and improvement projects, including the city-owned parking garage behind
the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center.
Other agenda topics include Exide, Frisco’s Sister Cities project and
information on how the leaders of tomorrow can apply to be a part of the
