More Good News for Dallas Real Estate
Another good report coming from Steve Brown in the Dallas Morning News. It seems that the average time it takes to sell a home in Dallas is almost the best in the country.
In his article entitled, New report shows Dallas-area home prices remain flat, columnist Steve Brown of the Dallas Morning News outlines the findings of a study conducted by Altos Research and Real IQ Market Analysis.
Some of the top findings of this report are:
"Dallas had the second-fastest home selling time among the 22 markets the researchers surveyed — 79 days ... Nationally, it takes more than 120 days to sell a house."
"In the last three months, overall listing prices fell 1.6 percent in the national survey. But in the Dallas area, list prices rose 0.7 percent."
"Another factor has been the strong Texas economy ... That is, Dallas hasn’t felt the pinch of recession yet,” [ -- Michael Simonsen, chief executive ]
